First off let me say that even though I do not post much, I do read a lot. Carl is certainly one of the GOOD guys!

I have one of these saws and like it. Think more like a strong Dolmar 5105 with some more sand on the bottom end. I believe it to be a couple ticks behind a 357. Very satisfying saw to run and they just ooze quality of build.

Like Two Trax, I lurk in the weeds and read whenever I can. I agree that Carl is well respected, as he should be. If I had a few bones to throw over the 5 bills that are on the board, I would. My fear is that my wife would end up owning half of it. That my friends is called, counterproductive. I hope someone reaches deep so Carl can smile a little bigger.

Someone mentioned 656 vs 357xp. What's intriguing about the 656 over the 357xp is the weight savings. Best I can recall there is a 1lb difference
