Just 5 or 6 years. I just change chains when cutting and sharpen after dark. I use a Harbour Freight digital caliper when changing from left side to right to get same cutter size. When chains get worn down or rocked, I set them aside for stump or crappy cutting. I use an old plastic chainsaw case for chains, tools, wedges. I keep chains in ziplocks and label with painters tape an sharpie. Once used I mark dull my on label. I also spray a bit of WD on chains while in bag. That's good... I just got a Oregon 520 I love it, better than I thought it would be.....eventually I will get a CBN... have you been grinding for a long time??

Diamond wheel was not much help. They said I can send it back and they will refund my money. Not the resolution I wanted. I don't have a problem sending the wheel back, but would like to know the problem, is it my grinder or a bad wheel. I really feel that the wheel has a thick spot with the plating. Not sure what to do?To OP did you get any results yet???

I know its would be a pain in the ass, but honestly you probably will just have to send it back..... since there is no real way to true the wheel....Diamond wheel was not much help. I still have the wheel and I am going to keep it, I wish Diamond wheel offered to send a new wheel ,if I sent this one back but they did not(the offered a refund ,but did not want to help). I ground a few really messed up chains and dressed the wheel a handful of times. It seams to be getting better. I still think the plaiting is thick in one spot causing the vibration. If I lower the wheel to just kiss the tooth, it hits only in one spot every rotation. I will try and keep you posted the more I use it.Well did you end up sending the wheel back???
Ok good deal.... let me ask ya this, do the stone wheels do the same thing on your grinder???I still have the wheel and I am going to keep it, I wish Diamond wheel offered to send a new wheel ,if I sent this one back but they did not(the offered a refund ,but did not want to help).
