Needed a bigger saw

Thanks guys, Been after one of these for quite some time. Finally had the
opportunity to make a deal with a fellow member for two saws and this
was one of them. I may tackle it this winter and see what it will take to
make it a runner again. It's a great addition to the collection.

Homeowner version, lol. What chain does it take and when were these manufactured Lee?

Made in 1955 Don, Not sure on chain. Thinking it might be 1/2 inch. I'll have to
take a look at the sprocket and measure the bar groove. I'm sure I can come up
with a chain to fit.

Just the weight of the saw would help the 1/2" links to cut. No need to coerce the saw. Lol
One needs springer gloves to run those saws though.

Holy Cow Lee!!! And for those who don't know, his Hybrid 166 went through the big log at the CT GTG faster than any of the ported saws!

Lee had it bored and re plated and is running an 088 piston in it. It is a Beast!

A 166 that went from a 56mm bore to a 60mm bore wearing
a modified Stihl 084 piston. Now it's at 136cc's.
