Need some info on this saw

220 is a bit rough new but an old used piece will do.

You will probably know but what instrument is used to check to see if a cylinder is out of round?

She’s a pass. Onto the next step…
Since the last update
Got a meteor piston and cleaned up the cylinder. Didn’t come with a pin bearing so I ordered a cheap cheap piston kit just for the bearing. Decarbonized the exhaust (torch) and it just passed the pressure/vac soap test.
So I think the only other challenge is the carb, I’m worried about what’s behind the welch plugs and if it needs cleaning. Anyone have any tips on metering lever height?
I am just so beat from work when I get home I got no energy left… maybe it’s the heat? But this is slow going.

More work done the last two days. Just have to wire the new kill switch, get a new clutch drum/bearing, a rim, a clutch spring and the large plastic washer that protects the oil pump from heat/debris.

Well I just couldn’t help myself and started it. Put a 1/2 tank of gas in and started pulling her over. 6th pull she popped, set the fast idle and it fired right up. Adjusted idle a hair and it idled nice and smooth. throttle response was good gave her a couple little blips. Couldn’t shut it off with the kill switch so just popped the cover and filter and blocked the carb.

Ordered the missing parts to finish this, until then it’s a bit of a wait. But when it touches wood I’ll post a video.

I would rather use a old oem pin bearing then a cheap aftermarket bearing. Wrist pin bearings take a beating on longer stroke saws and engines
