Nasty rattle clatter-piston/rod?

was supposed to just need a carb rebuild, came with a kit. Checked spark, , compression, muff off to eyeball piston.
Dumped some gas in and pulled...that doesn’t sound good. Rip it apart?

Sounds like a chainsaw. I’d get it running smoothly before I made any decisions

There’s an unhealthy noise there...can hear it best as it dies. Sound like a tiny chainsaw sized rod knock to me but I’ve never heard one before.

Maybe clutch rattling. I hope. I’ll do the carby and put a bar on it.
Was pleasantly surprised to see the serial plate says 2050, not 2045 like the handle. She’s a monster!

You need to take the clutch and drum off to verify. They tends to make odd noises when running. Some even make bell ringing noise..
