Two things, 1- it's cold out in the pole barn, my wife's at work, so that technically makes me the boss. 2- so we did the swap in the warm living room! :lunchacos:

We've (son and I) never ran a chainsaw with a full wrap handlebar. She only paid $40 something for it, not a lot of money wasted if we don't like it.

Before....

After.... It didn't add much weight at all, feels the same with or without it.

Think we're gonna stick with the factory dogs on for now. If my son wants the longer dogs, he'll swap them out. He uses this saw way more than I do.

I prefer shorter dogs. Hardwood doesn’t have super thick bark. To me they just work better. As far as wraps go I like em on falling saws. I’ve got em on 2 out of 3 272s I run and have one for my 288 but have been running 404 on that machine so haven’t installed. Use it more for bucking up big dirty stuff

I put the large dogs on my 2166. They were soon taken off and the 'stock' ones were put back on. I never tried a full wrap. Couldn't find any without the Husky curve to them. I really like the straight grip on the Jonsered.

Dang good saw, it really is the best value for the money when it comes to new in the husky lineup IMO.
Up here the 460 rancher was about 700$, and a 365 was about 850. To me it was a no brainer for the extra 150
Plus, you can do the transfer slot mod. and basically, have a 372X-Torq with the smaller air filter system. I love it!

I ran a 365 special for years. Put a full wrap on it right away. It's still a county work saw, wears a 24inch bar. I loved that saw, and cut alot with it. Even falling big trees. This is just my opinion, guys will disagree and that's fine. But IMO a saw with a half wrap is almost half usable. Full wrap saws are full use saws. Only way to fly imo. I've owned and cut with both. Fine same jobs with both. Fell trees, bucked etc. Full wrap wins every time

The first pro saw I ever bought was a Husky 365 Special. Sold it a few years after my back surgery, shouldn't have.

I probably won't run any saws until after deer season. My son got a doe. He has a 10 pointer on his trail cam. Hopefully one of us will get him.

Can't wait to try the full wrap for sure though!

Agreed 365 is legit. I've had saws I sold and regret. Sure understand that.
