Did a muffler mod on my 372 xtorq yesterday. Freshly rebuilt, so I decided to stick a hole in the muffler and weld a pipe to throw the exhaust out and away. Sounds cool, seems to be a little more responsive without tuning or running through wood yet. Was wondering what size holes everyone is drilling out, or cutting out, & how are you welding it to the muffler. I drilled a 1/2 inch hole, then brazed the little stinger piece. Didn’t want to go too big, but what’s rule of thumb to stick to. There is a lot of exhaust coming out of that hole even with the stock hole open with the screen removed. It’s crazy all that exhaust sitting in that can trying to get out. I think I’m gonna do it to my 395 I just got rebuilt, if not for anything, damn the thing will sound mean
