Muffler extension?

Has anyone heard of such a thing?
What would be the benefit of something like that? It appears to be a small bracket that makes a gap between you jug and muffler.
Similar to say a 1/4” gasket. Give or take.
Not trying to start a fight or tear anyone down. They are on eBay.

It’s been talked about several times. I think the general consensus is it has imperceptible effects and makes your muffler stick out. Probably doesn’t hurt performance.

Muffler extenders are for youtubers. Now, if there was a donkey extender, my wife would probly want me to look into that.
