Ms661 muffler mod/baffle removal?!?!

Hey guys just picked up a super clean ms661 made in 2024, it has the standard carb (kinda wish it was mtronic)….

Anyway just curious if guys were drilling holes in the baffle in the exhaust or just completely removing it, and enlarging the stock exhaust hole…

Trimmed the limiter caps last night and used it with a 32” bar, what a badass saw it is!!!

Just enlarge the holes…unless you port it.

Do you take the baffle out inside the exhaust it’s kinda like the 461 if you know what I mean

Removing the baffle makes the muffler weaker if that's important to you.

Did you leave the baffle in yours??

So. Mine is one of the first to hit Cali so is a bit different than what you described.
Brad only opened up the stock port, no extra holes/deflectors

Yes structurally. Some of mine have them, some don't.

If so can you “feel” any difference between the ones with baffle or not??

Well damn I wish I would have took a pic but I thought the baffle in mine was more restrictive (I could be wrong had bad lighting and was just trying to look at piston when I bought it lol)….
