Dang! Lotta work in that there 500i. I like your observations on better airflow and slightly rougher ports. Same with water. One of the fastest sharks in the world is up here in Alaska. They get beyond 50 mph and the salmon shark has an exterior like 60 grit sandpaper.

I have both a tree monkey 500i and a 462 ported by someone else (who is also a reputable porter), the 500 is quite a bit stronger. Especially with a 28-inch bar.

Thanks, I’m using a monkey 462 with a 28” now. A little less torque than the ported 461 I had but much easier on the hands.
