Tornados are not common in NYS, but they do occur. My upstate property got hit by one over 20 years ago. I own 50 acres, fully wooded, and it took about 40% of my trees, just pulled em out of the ground like match sticks and flung em every which way. Just as bad, the missing trees seem to have left the rest of the property exposed to further wind damage over the years. Seems the trees are getting blown down faster than they are growing.

They used to harvest timber every 10 years up there, but I have not had a harvest in over 20 years, since the tornado.

Maybe some day!

The ones at night terrify me.

I know the feeling cant see em coming ya at night. The tornado that got us last year hit at 1:30am, plus it was rain wrapped so zero visibility even if it wasn't dark outside. It was a eerie sound to hear what sounded exactly like a train coming at ya when they ain't no train tracks close to where we live.

You can be brand loyal and still have a good running line up. I believe I do, Jeff does, and I've seen them in other flavors also! There are very few saws that can not be made to run well, and I don't think there are any saws that I would want to keep completely stock (although not all my saws are ported, most are).
