MS461 Re-Rebuild

In my limited, emphasis on limited experience with 461’s is they are strato saws. The piston in the pic looks like a 460. Probably some monkey magic going on, or there were non-strato 461’s that I wasn’t aware of.

Ok. I’m remembering now. But, I also remember the piston looking almost identical to a 372XT...no windows.

That could be possible. Windows shouldn’t be needed other than maybe to promote cooling the wrist pin bearing

I’m not certain. Never seen one without windows.

441 and 462 have strato pistons like a 372XT. It can be confusing trying to keep up with all the different designs.
