Are all blue oem 1300 coils ducati?

The black ones with blue resin, as shown above, seem to be.

I just added one to a fresh 026. No off idle bog, even with advanced timing and prolonged idle time.

Yes, I have this coil on the saw Al did for me and there’s no blog and it will idle forever

Are these saws bogging every time, or just after some idling? I have an 026 (not from Doc) that has the bog, but only after it idles for a while (re-position a log, walk to a different cutting area, or something like that). It will even shut down coming off idle on occasion. I tried a new 194. No change. If I keep cutting, with no idle time, there is no problem. I have been blaming a fuel puddle in the pleat of the intake boot.

I really hadn't considered that it might be ignition. Ought to know better, I chased a problem on a Homelite Super EZ for months. It turned out to be a cracked spark plug...

Mine is a 026pro bought 12/4/99. It never had the bog issue. It came with the fixed “H” carb which I switched with a 194t copy. It ran good with that carb too. When Al ported it, I bought an oem 194t and that Also runs very well. The saw is very well mannered.

I think there has to be something with this Ducati coil. I hope this coil never goes out on me.

Duane, your Saw has typical symptom. No issue till it sits idling for a while.

I'm still not sure if it's the boot issue or the coil.

If I find a blue coil and send it your way, will u try it out?

Youd have to have a bad saw. IIRC, yoir saw was fixed by a new 194 carb.

Lol. Yes it was. Didn't know if the saw would perform any differently with the Italian coil. Lol
