So I’ve googled and googled and all that has told me is that market value is all over the place for these. What is a realistic value for a very nice condition MS200T with tsumara bar setup on it? I’ve been offered it in a trade, and I’m not a climber, not do I use many top handle saws so I know next to nothing about these. Trying to figure out how to value it. Thanks for your time

edit. He just sent me a cash value of $850. That seems extremely high to me, but maybe I’m underestimating the cult following on these things

500 max if it's tip top. They get abused like no other saw. 850 is Ebay dreaming.

Ummm... just take a look at the intake rubber boot cover/holder clamp thing in pic 2.. it’s sitting a bit high ?.?

not saying anything is wrong with the saw,, it’s just a bit high & or not sitting right/flush. It may be fine.. but I would be a little nervous...

Thanks gents. I suspected that he was really over valuing the saw, just wanted to confirm to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Ebay does seem to drive the prices people think they can get through the roof

Lone Wolf sells them right and left for average $400 and that is after he has them tip top.

That is the price for well used ones now ,clean ones go for 500.00 to 675.00. I am still waiting to hear if its all OEM that tank looks like it might be aftermarket.

He says that it is. I haven’t really pursued the trade deal as it’s not a saw I have a use for and if it’s not something I can sell to at least break even then it’s not one I’m interested in. From your last post, even a super clean oem would be less than $700 correct?

My bud the tree trimmer is snapping them up when one dealer gets them in for under $300 .He's got at least another 6 sitting on the shelf besides a couple he uses as spares .BTW he also has a couple of 201's he wished he'd never bought . From what I've seen I favor the 200T myself over the 201 .

Same here. Sold all the 201's I've owned.

No need for a 200T unless you spend your days tearing down large trees or reducing large canopies. The only other use is line work from a bucket or that Aussie guy with one arm. Hear he started life with two arms so he "needs" a ripping 200T now.

Wonder if a long bar 191T would work for him...

I've two of the little darlins. One was sent to me from a very successful tree service in California just so I could soup it up which I did . The other from a dealer who thought it was hung which it wasn't for 20 bucks ,it's stock .I have done repair work on a lot of them though owned by others . If say an 066 relative to size could run like these things you'd never be able to hold on to it .

Unless its truly low hour and mint and no wear then yes. Ifit is like new then who knows few hundred more. That tank dont look OEM. See how visible the gas is compare it to another.

I have two low hours 200T saws. It took years and years to find them. One never gets used but started. The other is only run once or twice a year.
