So, stupidity struck again and lets just say I will use way more caution when using a nylon piston stop, because it led to messed up rings and hopefully a manageable fix.
Just curious about how to install the rings. I ordered oem stihl spec ones and understand the technique of putting on the ring, but should I oil them up in order to make sure there is no friction when I go to put it all back together? Ripping one apart proved to be much more than I bargained for and now its just a mess of parts all around. The handle assembly will definitely be the most challenging it seems but I have the parts diagram and schematic for it.
Shown is the picture of the piston, just want to make sure that when I install I make sure to put each end of the rings under the little nub on the actual piston. Any input and correct terminology is appreciated.
