So I’ve had this little saw for about 5 months now. It seems like it took forever to break in but now that it’s well broken in and out of warranty I’d like to do a muffler mod and timing advance. This will be the first timing advance I’ve done, I’ve watched several videos and think I’ve got a decent handle on it. I know how to read a caliper, and from what I can find taking 20 thousandth off the key should net about an 8 degree advance. Any advice before I dive in to it tonight? I do run 93 octane E-free so pre-detonation hopefully won’t be an issue. I’ll be pulling the limiters off and retuning the carb as well after doing the timing and muffler mod.
