but why not get A clone 440, then put a 460 am top end on it,

It’s a sales market thing clones only sell the most common sold things, mass produced parts means cheaper production, but yeh aftermarket top ends, more sold than complete saws.

Yes!

They don't sail 'em in a kit like the other flavors of top ramen they sell, but they pretty much have all the parts cloned to put a 460 together.
