From machine number 149 389 335 the larger needle bearing with 10*16*12 was introduced. The clutch drums for (spur and rim sprocket) were also changed to the larger diameter.

Oh, and I think my 036 has a the smaller bearing, and it does wobble
The Stihl shop said it was just about serviceable,
I will get measurements juts for good measure :p
You should get that fixed ASAP Sean, else you'll suffer the dreaded f**ked oiler disease that me and a whole bunch here have suffered. You the bigger drum, bearing, and a different pump-to-clutch shield washer, IIRC for the whole job.

Buy the parts for the 361/362. They are the upgrade. I did it to my 036 when I first got it. Had a case of the wobbles bad. The kit fixed it.

I haven't noticed any wobbles with my 036, but I sure am going to check into it a bit further. [emoji106]

It was very noticeable on mine, the chain was tight,loose,tight.... is what made me start digging. And once I dug deep enough I noticed it was eating the chain brake cover plastic. The 361 kit fixed it up. And went to the bigger 044 size rim sprocket.

Jeff, I just picked up the bearing and clutch drum upgrade kit a few days ago for Gary's 034/036 raffle saw. I have the kit still in the package out in my shop. I can post a couple pictures of what's in the kit and the kit PN if you're interested

Yes please. And price and where the best place to get it is. TY Mike
Here's the kit.
Clutch drum, bearing, 3/8 7T rim, washer and clip.
I get the kits from my dealer. $55.74 CDN plus 13% tax. The kit fits 1125 series saws. 034, 034super, 036IMG_6673.JPGIMG_6674.JPG

Well I just checked the 036 drum an bearing. And yeh I got the replacement last yr, the saw has done less than 5 tanks on the drum & stuff. But what a bunch of used a$$ wipes the local Stihl shop are. I say this because I took the saw in there, as I wanted a rim sprocket and while there I popped off the cover to show them and then said what about this wobble, they sold me the same old rubbish, not the up grade even thou I brought a whole kit.

Anyhow it’s still good as new, but I will be getting the upgraded parts when they get worn, and me being me. I will grease it regardless if i think it needs it. Look at my pic. You can still see the grease0AA26C91-1517-49BE-8B59-E13B6561DE0C.jpeg

Is this the correct bearing size? Or is it 10x16x13?

On edit, I see it is 10x16x12.

Jeff, the 16 is the OD of the bearing I think.) I think the final measurement is the length?

OD is the crucial one, for the beefier cage.

(And the first is the ID)

Perhaps someone else needs to confirm ;)

Yeh you can see from my photos and micrometer readings inside x outside x length as well looking at CFB 1st pic, of the beefy needle cage in the packet
And you can work out the one I have

@richevy how the 261 run compared to the mofo 026s? How are they different? 261 is mtronic right?

I’d pick up my 026 any day of the week over the 261, i can honestly say I’ve used the 261 twice since I got it and that’s only because someone else was using my 026!
