I'm finding one for the 261 but so far no luck on the 241, do you know if they are the same?

Fuel Solenoid. They are color coded depending on version of Mtron. Kit will include the proper fuel filter to keep very fine contaminants from reaching carburetor.

Buy a green solenoid and a new fuel filter, it's not that complicated.

Only two solenoids cover all saws, old saws had black which is replaced by green and white is replaced with white. So just the new solenoid and orange fuel filter. But beforehand try a reset if not done, yours is probably the old one of start in triangle and let idle there 45-90sec then shut off without touching the throttle. Just a new fuel filter and reset may do it.

I turned the idle stop screw about an 1/8 and it hasn't stalled one time in 3 tanks.

Where’s the idle adjust since mtronic is self adjusting mixture and idle. Your saw needs a green solenoid if and when it needs one. The old reset of start in triangle idle for 45-90 seconds and shut off without touching throttle. The black solenoid was all plastic and seat would wear out so it couldn’t adjust properly. The green replacement has metal seat like the white one and this was also the reason for the orange filter that is twice as fine.

Also that “idle” adjustment isn’t really meant to be used because if it was it would be accessed through cover. This is basically a standard carb setting from factory and the solenoid adjustments fuel. If you had replaced the worn solenoid and fuel filter like people have said it wouldn’t have needed more air to make the idle mixture right which is all you did by opening the butterfly slightly.
Besides you have to pull the carb down to the point of changing the solenoid to make the butterfly adjustment so only thing you temporarily saved is the cost of the solenoid. It will finish failing and quit idling once again and need the solenoid anyway. Probably would put a diaphragm kit in it also depending how many hours are on saw

Thanks, if it starts acting up again I'll replace the solenoid and filter.
The throttle stop is an allen headed set screw only accessible with the solenoid removed.
