How did it act on the saw?

It was decent, but I think it has some more in it.

What about it aren’t you happy with? Just curious…do you have the ability to flatten your exhaust roof at all?

Power output. The exhaust is already pretty flat for as wide as it is.

Moving the transfers and modding the piston. I'll try that.

Modded piston is the same weight as the stock piston now.

Hopefully find some more power this go round.

Seeing no filter didn't add any power, and the peak power rpm was close to stock, leads me to believe the piston and upper mods should work well.

Try 25/1 quaker state 30w

What was the difference in HP and torque between the Egan filter and the stock filter, it looks like a lot but I can't really tell by the graph? I went to their site and those filters are out of stock right now.

Have you tried different ratios?
Does it even matter
I was just curious.
Also how's the clone compared to a oem 044 on the dyno

I'll post up the numbers once the video is all finished.

No ratios yet. This clone was stupid strong.... Not sure if they all are or just this one. But judging by the crap in the cylinder I didn't expect that.

Now I'm going to try some carb mods. Then I'll call it done....

For some reason I always thought fingers helped RPM limit but hurt torque? Im glad you posted this.
Think it would pull a 28 for work?

Looks like it turned out pretty good Joe!

Thank you. Hope it holds its own.

I don't see why a 28/7 pin would give any problems. I was pushing pretty hard and that chain was fairly aggressive.

A lot has to do with the time/angle of the fingers. They do tend to favor the upper end power. Didn't notice any loss of low end this round.

Joe,

Which piston did you use and where did you time it?

Are there 2 angles in the squishband? You said you matched it to the piston if I am not mistaken.

50mm echo 670 piston

Only 1 angle band, matched to the piston angle.

Timed by sight with the edge of the piston.
