You still got this randy? I’ve got a 1996 3120 that I’m rebuilding at the minute, might wake her up a little bit. Are there any parts I’d need on one that age for unlimited coil? I’m not well read up on 3120’s, it only the third I’ve had in the shop.

Green coil, or black coil?

Black coil

You can slot the holes in a 272XP coil slightly and fit it to the saw. Also look at the radius and alter it to match the flywheel exactly. But....the keyway is way off in the flywheel. I made a jig to rebroach them.....

Great stuff thanks, how many degrees do you alter it? I may be tempted to run it without a key for the time being.

As a side note how do you chaps find the price parts over there compared to Stihl? I’ve just put together a shopping basket of basic service parts, a few gaskets and a pair of piston rings and it came to £170! The rings are £18 each!

You should send me your "want list". I'd be happy to ship to you.

I'll post some details on the flywheel asap.
