I probably won't try this again.....or if I ever do, it will have to be done with a whole lot of input from the folks who are planning to attend. When I rescheduled it, not one person told me that they had a problem with that. But I did hear thru a friend that there was in fact a lot of grumbling about it. Why in God's name would a person not speak up and let me know how they felt? At any rate.....the chances of me planning anything like this again are absolutely not looking good.

But I think the pandemic has the most negative weight on this decision here. Hopefully everything gets back to normal for the future years.
Plus I think guys will be itching to get out and recreate.
Don't give up boss. It'll get better. Things can only get better. Hope, optimism, and stuff.

It just sorta chaps my ass that people would rather talk behind my back than to me. WTF is that behaviour about? Are we not a group of men?

I wouldn't worry about it much. I imagine in most cases (though I could easily be wrong) that people thought it an insignificant personal matter that the rescheduling didn't work for them, and may have felt that their one case would not have changed the date for them considering it sounded as if it had already been rescheduled for one important person. Not much of a problem until several people find them self in the same situation. Then, before they know it, they happen to be talking about the issue between themselves rather than being open about it. Now that it has been brought to light, I imagine they will be happy to talk about it openly.

I agree. That probably should have been the case from the beginning. It would be a good idea to have kept a list together of who is planning on coming along with discussion on when the best time is. It may have helped to have a reschedule date figured out long ago too in case of bad weather, or change in plans.

Anyway, that's just a nutball's opinion

I’ve already told you we have a group of people that aren’t singularly focused here.

You won’t find a better group of men because they know the world don’t revolve around any one of them.


They didn’t say anything because they didn’t feel they had a right to influence something as big as Your Get Together.

Ask for folks Input next time & don’t take offense when they give it to you.


Take it for what it is but don’t get all sandyvag: that is Dall’s job.
