Thanks. I made this belt out of a piece of leather so it'll need to be replaced soon. I bought this lathe from an auction with another shorter 9A for $425 . I thought it was a deal. Lol

For the south bend 9" you'll probably want the AXA/100 size tool post. I'd definitely spend the few extra dollars for a wedge style over the piston lock.
If you want to use larger tools than the normal 101/102 tool holders you can find oversized holders that I think will take 5/8" tooling in an AXA size.

I'm very impressed with the glued belt (blue )
I got the pinned belt (green) in case the glued belt didn't last, so far, the green belt still sits in a draw after its initial trial here. I glued the blue belt on 18 Dec 16

I was leery of the glued one, but my curiosity got the better of me. It's still strange not hearing the cleats and pin slapping the pulleys, as the blue belt goes around, it's absolutely silent

I had used 18 Guage trim nails and folded it through the leather .. but I need to get me one of those blue ones.

Those blue and green belts aren't leather .......
The blue belt comes with 2 glues, and I followed the instructions exactly

I tore my lathe down now . Lol. Gonna replace the oul stripping and clean it up some . Maybe even paint the rail. It was extremely dirty.

Here's a pic of what it ended up looking like . I replaced the oil strips that were bad and painted the rails . At least it's clean now. Lol .

Yuppers, that little knob on the bottom makes that lathe more valuable and more betterer !!
