Will be a nice addition to my old Mac collection: 795, 795L, 125, 1-41, 250 and a 895 that is also in transit.
I like the history. The 800 was a later model than the 850. McCulloch lost count in the model numbers! And from what I have read on the collector site it is the last bigger saw that McCulloch made in the U.S.
It is a shame that McCulloch discontinued the big muscle saws in favor of the faster selling consumer saws. The big Macs made a lot of history in the big timber country of California, Oregon and Washington State. But up here on the Olympic Peninsula, Stihl made a good showing in the late 60's and 70's with the 075 and the 090 and overtook everything else. Now this is Stihl Country for sure! 84's and 88's now rule here in the big timber.
