Needs a side port pipe.

I guess my main question was going to be if you were going to open up the exhaust port enough to remove the bevel that is in there where the tube from the muffler would have gone.

On the sides and top, yeah......but not on the bottom.

Needs a side port pipe.

I wanna be able to screen the openings.

If you buy the husqvarna 288 parts like i useyou can seen them, I use them on all of mine, cost runs about 15.00 per kit.

It all looks perfect!

Now to open up the seat a bit. It takes fuel to make power....

After drilling the seat, I polish it with a Q-Tip, and some glass polish.



Then pressure test the carb to be sure it will hold pressure. Pop-off pressure ain't really a concern.......just wanna be sure it won't leak down.

One last modification to the carb. Slotting the HS screw.



Then gutting the air filter and base.

I opened one of the mufflers from the wrong end.
