The best oil is GFY, as strong as you can stand it. Back in the day, we ran STP, but we didn't know squat.

50:1, 40:1 and 32:1. Has any gave trouble with good gas, good tune and a sharp chain?

Not in my experience. Which makes me wonder if the failures were due to other factors than oil. And now with synthetic oil, I'm not sure it's an issue.
I've been wrong before though...[emoji33]

Only from too much oil that I've seen if the others are not an issue. The Autotune saws don't like too much oil.

So, what is the best oil to run at 40:1? Has this been debated yet?

I use Yamalube 2R.

+ 1 for Yamalube and 40:1. I use the same mix for all of my 2t toys- so it is always fresh. The YZs, Huskys (bikes, not saws), Vintage MX beaters, Saws, weed hackers and leaf blowers all run the same fuel. Everything is happy!

Oh and by the way Mister Moobs- I haven't stopped listening to "The Devil Makes Three" since you posted that the other day. Awesome stuff.

Dolmar, Porting, Muffler Mods, Tractors, Music, 2-Cycle Oil. This thread is great! Only thing that could make it better is videos of ported saws with muffler mods running 40:1 with a tractor holding the log and music in the background.
