Was the squish the only real change Randy or have you reconfigured your numbers for more powerJust a different approach.
Are you headed West for a change of scenery, or East because its close? You are welcome to stop in for a visit if you pass through our neck of the woods.
Randy is a very generous guy, but I don't think the details on this saw are going public.
How does the 661 run with 180ish psi comp ?
For work ,when felling etc i like about 180 psi in a saw ,for play i like moreThat's about where this one is.
You might be surprised Mike. I'm chatting with Brad Snelling about it right now. I'm not good at keeping this stuff to myself. I want to see us all build great saws.
I sorta wanna see how the thinking in this thread goes before I let the cat out of the bag......
I'm game. And will share everything I've tried. Not saying it's right just saying I tried it. Lol. Here's the vid of me battling it out.So........does anyone wanna talk about why this machine is so..........different?
I'd like to hear what the guys that have built 661s think, and where they are with the saws they are building.
Does this saw come with a "new recipe" sticker ?
Looks like a nice runner randy..
Me too !!I need to go back to work.
IncredibleHow does the 661 run with 180ish psi comp ?
I've done two, and second one with a higher exhaust was definately stronger with a shorter bar. I trimmed both pistons, and just cleaned up the squish, then cut the base to give me my exhaust number. Both intakes got epoxied to 79-80So........does anyone wanna talk about why this machine is so..........different?
