on the 261 you make a strong saw with the strato, why did you decide to gut it on the 241? Do you think you could make it as strong with the strato's still in?

I can't make it run like I want to no matter how I port it........until I gut the stratos. I can make them pretty stout, but you can tell there's more there. I didn't really want to do it this way......sorta feels like giving up. But.......it works.

I wonder how the fuel economy is after strato gutting the 241. I have a stock ms261 & a screaming strato gutted one and fuel use is big time different. To some extent, if ya want power....

I'm sure it's gonna make a difference. To make it run this strong without gutting it, I have to take the transfers really high. Then it gets peaky. It will also use more fuel with the transfers high....so....

What other saws may also "get stronger" from this?

None that I've tried it on really. The 261 is the same design, but I can get it where I like it without gutting it.
