I have an Echo 6700 that I may be selling in the future. The one feature that I'll miss is that its the only saw I have with a manual oiler. Why don't we see them anymore? OK, they may not need them with improved oilers today but we don't need extra-spring assist starters on 35cc home-owner saws either.

It probably comes down to cost savings. A few less steps in manufacturing.

The 3120xp and...??which other saws sold new have manual oilers today? Echo cs800p? I think back troller is right, its perhaps not an EPA thing but a whole lot of extra parts/weight that adds cost in a very competitive market. Many make decisions based on spec sheets these days along with price. I like em and like the fact you can up the oil whenever you want during a long cut.
