Makita 6421

So my local Home Depot has a used Makita DCS6421 for sale for $320. Just spent all my discretionary cash on a sweet 041 super but this seems like a good deal. I read you can easily rebuild them to up the displacement but I read they are heavy.

Thoughts on these units? Do I pull the trigger?

Heavy? That's a relative statement. With the 7910 top end they are the reigning power to weight champion. Talk them down to 279 and go for it.

$320 is the going rate around here if you are lucky enough to pick one up. They seem to end up on eBay quickly for much more.

Clean unit, hardly looks used. New air filter, chain and bar scabbard. Also gave me the original owners manual. Pics when I get home.

I love my Dolmar PS-6400!
Some will say she's too heavy for her cc's , I say grow some balls and stop whining.

If You decide to upgrade to 79cc's You'll surely be impressed.
I find my Dolmar PS-7900 addicting and hypnotic to use, I even limb with her on a regular basis.

I honestly hope that You will like Your Dolmar/Makita 6k/7k family saw!
