Hey guys, I am putting my 2100 together now. I have already replaced the bearings and seals, installed the p&c, installed the tank, and pressure and vacuum tested the saw. I remember reading somewhere that the carbs have a governor that can be bypassed. If someone could go into detail on how to do that (I haven't rebuilt the carb yet) and throw out any other easy simple mods, I would be grateful. Thanks!IMG_20170216_205754219.jpg

Remove that brass screw and put a little round homemade gasket under it to seal off the inlet to disable the flood limiter. If there is no brass screw then there isn't a limiter.

This is some quality info, definitely +1.

Also send it to randy to work his emu magic, the MMWS 2100 I have is unreal!

"Emu Magic" now that's kinda got a good ring to it. When are we gonna get to vote on stickers?

The only trick I can think of is starting that hard pulling SOB .I have found on mine to choke it one pull, that's all then tug on it until it starts. If you flood that thing you will pull your arm out of the socket before it chugs .

I'm betting the metering lever in your carb is set too high. Or the spring needs stretched to make the pop off a wee bit stronger.
