If I swapped the body, which I'm probably not, I would change the exhaust back to a tailpipe. Lol. The longhorns are a great idea, Ive wanted to do that a long time

I have been wanting a better sound system in a vehicle. Don't think it's worth putting into either of my current trucks tho. And also, it does roll some coal .

How exactly does it roll coal when it doesnt even start? Did you hire one of the local meth heads to blow smoke out the tailpipe?

Yer gas truck is ideal. Diesels, especially clapped out diesels are expensive and complicated.

I do consult them with most big purchases.
I don't play video games.

The starter failed oreilys tester machine, so I got a proper 7.3 reman one for $240 as well as a jug of coolant, a bottle of howes diesel additive, and a headlight restore kit. A starter bolt was missing so I'll grab another from ace when I have go into town anyways again later tonight. Old start was a different style so only needed 2 bolts. If all goes well I might have it cranking again tomorrow.

You want to explain that blue smoke doesn't equal rolling coal.

Did you check the fuse boxes to make sure you don't have a blown fuse?

It runs and drives, definitely needs to be topped ofg off on ATV. Start was smoking after I shut it off 1 time.

Quite the typo in my last post. Anyways it started leaking ATF from the front of the transmission and was quite low and started slipping a bit too. I will get it to the right level and add some lucas tomorrow to see if that helps. then I'm washing it and it's getting posted for sale. I should definitely be able to get my money back out of it, or make a trade. Until it sells it'll just be a toy for around the yard. I know like many of you said this rig is a money pit, especially if I fix it up fully.

While it may be a money pit, since it isn't your primary driver there are lots of opportunities on there to learn something.

I got some Lucas stop slip for it, but the new starter went bad... Granted it was a reman is some people have bad things to say about those, the truck does have electrical issues, the starter is under warranty so I'll get a new one. Not sure if I want to risk putting it on or sell it as is with new starter. Might take a look at all the electrical connections and grounds I can find tomorrow and clean everything.
In the meantime, I found a pretty cool song about 7.3s lol...

Honestly I partially bought it as learning opportunity, and continuing would definitely gain me more knowledge. True that.

You picked one of the worst possible vehicles as a learning opportunity. Use this as an opportunity to learn what not to do again.
