So far...something broke lose below and got as far as the exhaust port. Judging by the gouging on both the piston and cyl wall there, bearing cage fragments. I'll upload the bore scope pics later. Need to make pressure test plates for this carb and exhaust first and do v/p test before pulling the cyl.
Either way, gonna need a complete rebuild.

It is really tight fitting in the carb box, hopefully you have small fingers. I felt like I was operating on the one I had, needed to use several sets of forceps to get in there!!

Similar to the 455s but flip flopped. Carb came out easily enough. Figuring out how to unhool all the heating wires was interesting.

Well, looks like Nate just plum wore this thing out :p
Current theory is clutch side bearing failure cascading to blow a seal and…won’t know what else till I get it all apart.
Compared pics from Kevin from the original build with what’s there now. Uh, a bunch of bearing *s-word isn’t kind to the inside of a nice cylinder. What’s there now ain’t what left Kevin’s shop 🤪. I think Nate got his money’s worth after 4yrs of hard, commercial use. Id also blame Husqvarna for a poor design but they probably didn’t factor this saw wearing a 32” bar for 4 yrs.

Is this like in Tommy Boy where we can stick our head up a steer’s ass to get a good look at a T-bone or we can just take the butcher’s word for it?

Is this a Tommy Boy saw?

Make with the carnage pics, mang.

From the pics I’ve seen, it looks like it had an air leak under the base probably from the muffler lifting on the front of the cylinder.
