Got the coil last night. Just for craps I turned the key when I walked in the garage and it fired right up. I still had the inline spark tester hooked up. Big fat spark!
I guess the coil was just wet and shorting out. Oh well. I've got an extra coil now...

Thanks. I'm hoping it holds up. Plus I enjoyed it. I haven't tore into a small 4 stroke since I was 16... And never a twin with overhead valves.

Mowed about 1/2 my lawn. She ran great! No smoke.
