When do you toss your old junk parts saws? I picked up a bunch while back but these are stripped down pretty good and just take up space i dont have. But part of me says just keep them lol.

The only time I throw away parts is if they’re absolutely unusable. If you wanna get rid of them, someone here would probably buy them

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ This....... Or I'll gift someone the parts if they were in the junk bucket. Yes. Yes I do have a junk bucket of saw parts. 55gal drum infact.

Heck I'd be interested in the 029-390 carcass. I can't get enough of those parts.

You got plenty of good parts there?
One thing I spotted immediately was the decomp button on a husqvarna, if you got and older friend struggling with pulling over a stihl you can pop that husqvarna decomp into the saw and save his shoulders. It's small to store and used its 6 $ you dont have to spend.

Yeah, shipping would suck. Don’t throw the coils away on the huskies. The 340/345/350 coils are unlimited and a nice swap for a 346.

If it isn't actually broken/unusable, I don't discard anything. But I'm a parts hoarder by nature lol.
Looks like there is close to enuf parts there to build a 353 - that's the first thing I think when I see your pics. The very LAST thing I would think is: "I need to through this junk in the trash". In fact that thought would never enter my mind haha!

I've got a couple of 044s that most people probably would've junked(I actually pulled them out of the trash.) They were both pretty rough, lots of stripped threads and even some minor case breakage on one.

I ended up building both up with some cheap aftermarket parts and they've been good runners. One is a 52mm big bore, the other eventually ended up as a 044/46 hybrid. I learned quite a bit about porting/machining cylinders with those saws, the hybrid saw has had quite a few top ends on it before it ended up in its present form. I actually ran both at work quite a bit the last couple years. I finally retired them to firewood saws/toolbox saws.

Im sorry. My CAD class was starting to help me. Think i will drop out and keep them haha.

I put them up top in the rafters of the shed with a few other so they wont be in my way up ther and most likely forgotten about lol

I just built a Poulan 2700/346xp hybrid with junk parts. The poulan was 3$ and Walt gifted me the 346 cylinder, which I cleaned up.
20$ for a muffler and a piston on sale and now it's a fun little saw.

Info...... Need more info on this. And pictures definitely pictures

Here's what being lazy in cold weather costs you.
Plus they didn't have it in stock
And 100 miles away.
So there really is a reason to keep the junk saws.I'm pretty sure i could have found it all in my junk pile.
Well maybe not the recoil screws, husky's usually shed those...
