Hey guys looking for some advice on the air filter issues with these saws. Mine is taking loads of fines in with the mesh filter and grease applied. I'll be swapping over to felt and possibly adding an o-ring/grease. Looking for any suggestions from ya guys. Also seems like a velocity stack is the cure all deal for the filtration problems. Thanks!

I've never had to oil a filter and from what I hear it causes them to load up quicker and need more maintenance.
I have a 2152 and use the felt filter and have greased the seam and where the filter slips over the air horn. This completely solved any fines getting in to the air intake even cutting dry, dead Oak, Elm, and Mulberry. Try it.

vstack adapter with the taller filter, which i dont recommend anymore. I switched to the shorter one for these kits.

This is on a Jred 2253

The local shop hand here swears by a skinny o-ring stuffed in that slot and snugged down with the wire clip.
