I've read for quite awhile on here and other sites and decided to have my first saw ported by Kevin and got it back a few weeks ago. Tomorrow is my first chance to run it. I'm excited to see how his incredible work performs.

In regards to iron horse, it was easy to see from someone without a whole lot of saw knowledge that he didn't know his head from his ass. His compression comment was funny and people backed him up cause everyone knows that. But it was sad reading how he treated Jesse. I would have been furious if I was him especially for that much money. It opened my eyes to how good of a group you guys are and how you actually care about others instead of just talk.

I understand Randy's intention to show the world what a good saw from real Porter's like the ones on the site. However, I just don't see it happening the way people would like. I'd suspect BBR would just say thank you and run it occasionally like most his saws. I doubt it would cause him to distance himself from iron horse. Keep doing what you guys do, you're good people.

Don't expect me to post much. I'm mainly just here to read and learn from the true professionals.

Ima say Steal & you gonna say Dolly Mara so...

He ran a 461 when he traveled for a while back & also ran a Walker 261. Said he liked both.
If we only knew a Stihl Dealer.....
Monkey Nuts could do an R Model.

MS461 1/2 adequate.

A ported Wrap saw fixes what he doesn’t like.

MS261CM

I’m Game for whatever.

He’s already run a 73 Dolly.

Randy you are a man of integrity. You have compassion and empathy for others. You clearly feel strongly about things also. This whole ordeal has obviously had a negative impact on you and you don't deserve, nor are you to blame for, that. In my opinion, sending a saw to BBR is not going to change anything. You won't gain out of it in any way, and I know you aren't looking to gain, and you CERTAINLY don't need the approval of someone else to justify your position in this. You did what every "leader" (whether you like to acknowledge that or not) should do. You stood up for the little guy. Hold your head high. You do not need to prove anything else to anybody.

Thank you.

How da hell did I miss this? Well allow me to be the first...Bye Dallicia!:lol:

I'm not sure exactly what the question is Bob, but the number of subs does not necessarily indicate income level. monthly ad revenue is generated by clicks on ads, not on vids (as far as I know). BUT, the more subs you have, the more folks of a "focused" following you have an the more likely someone is to see a particular ad when you post of a vid. Its truly brilliant concept because theoretically all the subs are folks that like what the youtuber likes. Its all just much more focused marketing. television is much more like using a shotgun blast, youtube is more like a scalpel. and yes, subs from one channel may like a similar one. The beauty is, none are identical. I don't see the harm in gently reminding people to subscribe, but after a while it gets tiresome. I just keep trying to be super boring and be myself. Keeps me plenty busy. Walt too I'm sure. I'm running around like mad these days trying to keep up with my measely 7.7k subs. i can't image 70k, or 700k subs. I'd have to stop doing dentistry.

with regards to sending a saw to BBR, i'd say that the goal of that idea needs to be well defined. if the goal is to generate good will towards bbr from forum guys .. it may or may not meet that goal

if the goal is for forum guys to stand behind their leader, then that is important. so overall I think its important to stand up for whats right, and it seems to be like MM is in the right here. if there is an opportunity to pitch in support then thats important to do. I'll put my money where my mouth is, so I'm in if thats the direction this goes.

But truthfully, if BBR was really curious, I don't think it'd be a stretch for him to buy a MM saw himself. Which, if you think about it, its kinda his responsibility. He's been giving IH the pump, so now that IH has been called out, its time for him to truly discover if he's backed the right guy or not. The only way to do that, its to get a properly done saw, of his own volition and curiosity.

But thats unlikely :(

Matt, we are standing behind Randy. Or maybe it's better said that we are standing WITH Randy. And to a larger extent, with each other. Many of us have known each other for several years now, and I've known Randy for a good while. Think the world of him. Lot of conversations, messages and stuff over the years and you get a sense of what makes each other tick. It's a 2 way process too, not simply watching videos. Engaging with someone is real life in real time. Watching videos is formulating opinions based on prepared, (edited), presentations while filling in the blanks with your imagination. Reality vs fantasy. That's why so many of IH's fans seem out of touch. Here's a good question: How many of those clowns are pulling out their checkbooks and sending IH $600 to build them a saw with a chinese top end? You can be sure he doesn't have 3 months of work backed up!

A few pages back, someone said we don't need to seek redemption from them, and that is spot on. (apologies for not remembering who it was). We don't need to knock ourselves out trying to win them over or get some of them to say that we may be right here. The flimsy narrative that IH has constructed is already starting to unravel based on a lot of the comments being posted on his channel. That's not the case here as it's easy to stick to the story when it's based on reality and doesn't have to be modified when the chickens start coming home to roost.

Couple guys said we should "take the high road" here. And amongst ourselves I think we are. But in calling out a $600 rip off artist it's not that easy to take the "high road" with a "low life". :)

This is what I was thinking. It could come back to haunt us & cause more headaches for Randy.
No because IH said he lost the MM cylinder so no harm will come to anyone on here...... Even then if he did send the cylinder back it's going to do more harm to his popularity because he knows there was nothing wrong with it in the first place.

Nope. Sorry, but if you can write that well, you have to keep posting. LOL

Soooooooooooo; going to be a nice weekend up here in the Northeast. Anybody else going to be cutting wood instead of wasting more energy on Ironwhores? :)

I appreciate that but I like lurking and learning. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents out there where I doubt you'll get the response or outcome that is wished.

Personally if anyone is real good at making a website with all the keywords that Google likes, that's what I would do. Get a damning page on Google's first page stating he's a hack when searching his name with the pictures showing his work. It'd make many people who aren't familiar have second thoughts and search for reputable builders such as on this website.

Will be splitting some here during the false spring, just in case old man winter has other ideas, so the wood gobbler can keep on, keeping on.

Fresh 361 ports clean up and Meteor piston
Fresh 6401 sounds ok. AM top of some sort. Came that way. Clean saw. Got oe if needed.
084 shake down run
394 shake down run. Then, rebuild it.

Supposed to be nice here tomorrow and raining Sunday, so I plan on taking care of a few Elm trees that have grown onto and around my buddy's concrete septic tank ,while it's nice tomorrow. Nothing crazy, and they're smaller trees, 18"-ish diameter, but I get to run saws, so I'll be content. :)

I am also in agreement that the forum guys stuck up for Jesse and fixed his saw along with calling out iron hoe and his pickle swingers. Not much else can be done I commented quite a bit on his videos and you couldn’t lay out enough evidence to prove ironwhore wrong. If sending a saw to a YouTube channel I’d rather see human get one personally.
