Its says a lot about these saws in this state that have kept running and cutting wood despite the owners doing their best to kill them.

Sometimes you wonder if that's what they are trying to do. Cutters like the one with that 385 often admit they are real hard on equipment. Even joke about it. Some guys just get pissed and complain that the saws can't take it anymore. Especially if they crunch a new saw.

I believe that's the "East Coast" Special Cover designed for quick "Chip" removal. Lots of tree guys use them as "noodle" saws. As in "Chinese" noodles

That is one cover that will never clog up, isn't it? No need to buy the expensive west coast cover; all you need is a hammer.

The farmers around here used to claim if you took the clutch cover off and ran the chain backwards, you could cut round bales with a chainsaw.
I always wanted to try it but figured it would wrap up like kelvar and, with my luck, break a crank or something.
I don't know who's harder on equipment, farmers or loggers.
