Hell this BBR guy might not even watch ol Harvey's videos. I know I don't.

Billy said he doesn't really watch YT. I'm in for $25 if you decide to go ahead with this. I too am not sure if it's the best idea. I don't believe he will bad mouth you or anything, just not sure what it would accomplish, as a great deal of the followers have their heads pretty deep in the sand.

Not quite sure how the “It goes to him without any knowledge of who built it” deal will fly, or maybe I’m just missing something here, with an open read forum with the exception of Private Messages/conversations. I’m sure at least some of the narks who stand by ol’ Dremel Dick have already picked up on this and what’s been posted in the last hour or so, and will probably be ear candy to BBR by the time the sun sets this evening.

And again...what’s it accomplish in the long run?...that OPE has anything to prove other than what’s already been proven?

Last quote I had on for one of Billy's axes was $250 but that was a few years ago, still too rich for my blood, so put one together myself for a little under $100. I believe Billy covers shipping from Vancouver so honestly $250 isn't too crazy. If they're more than that now, well I guess if the market is there, so that's that.

I started porting saws for 125.00 each. I get 385.00 now.

I've slowly raised my prices over ten years. Many people have told me that if I was always a couple of months behind, I wasn't charging enough.

I understand the axe pricing.

This young mans’ comment makes sense and probably stands a high percentage of happening. Loyalty to Dremel Dick and his YT bullshitt is not going to falter nor fall by the wayside, throw away years of a relationship btwn the two, and then Dissension 101 sets in with the Dremel Dick/BBR cult followers, because some folks on OPE built and sent BBR a damn saw.

Pitfalls galore with this idea. Genks is right about feeding the guys ego. And it smacks as groveling to me.

And why do we, as a group, need to kiss his butt and set him up as some kind of grand arbiter to gain his seal of approval that we are really a bunch of decent guys? That we aren't as bad as the all the ignorant IH followers have painted us? He's already lined himself up with IH, despite some clear evidence that there is something very wrong with IH's business practices, not to mention his integrity. If ole BBR can't see this then how does building him a saw open his eyes? And why do we care what he thinks?

Little distinction here to keep in mind: We rightfully called out IH for what he did. And in doing so, it can be said that we did "attack" him. But JUST him, and only him. We were then in turn ALL attacked, en masse, by the strange bunch of groupies for which watching ole Harvey's videos is the highlight of their day. Most of them with their eyes, and minds, as closed as BBR's.

What everyone thinks, feels, says, and determines to be right or wrong about this whole matter should be based on the facts involved. An offering at the alter of one of these internet egos to gain favor demeans us. And it doesn't change the facts.
