Do you care if it's ugly?
I have some halves, just can't recall if they are twist or flippy cap... And I know they are not pretty.

Update: the JB Weld did not hold for long under the abuse of everyday logging. That being said, it lasted longer than I expected. I ended up just applying Loctite to the 1 remaining bolt for that AV mount and ran it that way a while. Well now that failed finally. Looks like I’ll need a crankcase half if anyone has one they would part with? I looked at the FarmerTec replacement case, and the price is right, but I’d like to explore replacing with OEM at this time. I need the Mag side crankcase half for an MS 460 Magnum if anyone has one? Let me know, thanks gents!

You could have it welded for reals as long as you have it apart. You know that case half fits.

The piece that broke off is long gone, so if it was welded it would need to be built up a ways. Not impossible, but certainly not ideal either.

I think I have a case half - I'll look this weekend.

It is tough though to mix and match Stihl case halves because of differences in the deck heights.
Looks like Redline has it covered. I appreciate it though!

If it's just the top side of the bolt boss broke off like in the original picture I would just build it up anyway.

I want to send a big THANK YOU to @redline4 for going above and beyond and sending a complete case half to me. After receiving it, I have since torn down the 460 Magnum and I’m in the process of putting it back together. Installed new crank bearings while I was at it. The originals felt surprisingly good, but I’m not going to take chances if it’s torn down this far already. Thanks again! I appreciate it!

The stars aligned and I finally had some time to work on the saw this afternoon. Was cutting wood with it by 3:30!

I had to get a little creative because the donor case half was .003” lower than my original. But I was able to make a shim from .004” stock. I added a very slight dab of DirkoHT where the case halves meet, and put my original .004” shim gasket on top of the new shim, pressed together by the cylinder of course. I didn’t figure the difference of .001” would matter once the cylinder squeezed it all together, and so far it’s holding. Holds a tune as always, and cut very strong in the few test cuts I made. Any problems should show themselves in a day or 2 when I can get out and buck up the 13,000+ board ft of white oak I have laying currently. Thanks again to all of you who helped me out, both with parts, and advice.
