I got a 10mm 044 in exactly the same condition...
The bummer is most those guys use junk chain to start with, if they are using quality chain, sure would be nice to grab them up.Local rental place said they do that. I asked what do they do with the used chain? He said they trash them most of them are so screwed up when they come back.

Umm.... no. I had an 029 Super for many years. It was very reliable, and cut many, many cords of wood, but.., after running better saws, I realized what a heavy, underpowered, vibrating turd of a chainsaw it really was. I paid $100 for it, and sold it for $200.I have a 290 same thing right?
