I haven't torn into a strato
Husky yet , I can't even see where a clamp would be from the top.
She's only a couple years old.

Cleaned the carb and fuel line...
Rinsed tank, and filter. Tightened
All the screws on the intake.
Air leak symptoms gone.....
Alot of crap in carb box, more than I would expect ( I blow it off after every use) ..... the good is the fuel lines are very nice and it looks well made intake and stuff look strong, just strato is odd too me

No boot clamp on 450 bolts on w/4 screws in metal boot housing. I have one on the bench right now. Can't get it to stay running. Long story brought to me from another shop that couldn't fix it. Completely disassembled put back together w/anaerobic sealant transfer covers and crankcase base, new OEM crank seals, new intake boot and housing used sealant on intake mating surfaces, new OEM carb. It will not whip me. Guess I will have to make up block off for intake to press/vac it. Hate to take that dang carb off x4 again.

@NCFarmboy , after all of that work, I would be suspect of the carb itself. I have a known runner here if you want to test with it. Shipping shouldn't be too bad since I am in Fuquay...

Guy bought a new carb @ other shop still the same issue won't stay running brought it w/new carb on saw and the old carb. Do have another new carb too. Went through both carbs checked meter lever height and both passed pressure test didn't find anything out of the ordinary. Almost forgot fingernail polished (having brain fart can't remember what to call them)LOL. Welsh plugs!!!! Thanks for the offer might take you up on it.

Carb is C1M-EL37b 29.99@ Jacks.

The forum @Jacks reports intake boot leaks as problem area. That is one reason I replaced the boot & housing.

Have the fuel line and filter been replaced? Possible pinhole in line and/or clogged filter.

I pressure tested fuel lines. Filter is good. What's funny this saw doesn't have an hour on it looking at the sprocket. It has no wear.
