Intake gasket sealant

I got a 357xp working on looking at putting sealant around intake gasket flange.
I have some Hondabond will this work if not what would you recommend.

For the intake boot out a metal clamp on it and be done.

I remember having a husky in the shop that had the plastic clamp on the manifold boot. Clamp Barely tightened the boot around the flange causing an air leak. I ended up using a grey silicon to seal it off. I can't remember the exact name, I'll check when I head in tomorrow.

Ive seen guys using a red loctite cant remember if its 508 or 518. Was thinking could use hondabond but wasn't sure.

518 is what you want. If it's questionable and has the plastic clamp change it out to a metal one.

Metal clamp off a stihl should work fine.

503 5600-03 is a screwdriver slotted clamp. just put on a 346 I am building.

Used a metal clamp on my 350 husky to replace the plastic one.
