intake and carb 61 281 288 questions

I am just plumb full of dumb on my 288Xp project.
I pulled out my two donor jugs with the carbs and intakes attached and THEY ARENT THE SAME HEIGHT
dammit!!
so I was on the phone with Joe @Onan18 at the time and took a quick measurement and they are actually a 61 and a 281 jug.
do the carbs and intake stuff interchange with a 288?
I have a OEM new 288XP cylinder kit in the box so that is easy but now I might be out the carb stuff

Dave I just checked and the carb and intake parts are the same part numbers between the 281 and 288.

Build that 281 for a 5 cube saw.

Mike referred to the 281 because it puts you right up to the edge of the 5 cube class.

288 is in the class up to 99cc unless they break it up in .5 CI.
