Inside the MS462C

I handled one at a shop yesterday and it wins for me over the 462 in terms of in the hand feel. Both are too pricey for me though.

How much is the list price there? 462CM and 572? I'm still baffled that each EU country has drastically different prices for the same equipment.

We used to be the worst for pricing, and still are on many saws. I could order a Maruyama MCV51 from Amazon in the US, have it delivered to my mother, and then send it from her house for like $100 US and still be 100 Euros cheaper than here. But, for other saws, we are closer in the price competition. Availability versus demand, I guess.

That's rich! $1800+ USD. The MS661C-M is only $1229 right now list price. Gonna have to mortgage the house to get a 500i.

Full retail 462c-m with 20 es light and rs chain 12990kr, 572xp PHO 10995kr. Used 064 in very good condition 4-5000kr.

25% which is included in the prices I listed. That is full retail, it is possible to get 10% off on the 462 but the 572 is pretty much in stone as far as I have heard.

The warranty is a question we'd have to ask. PHO would be even cheaper by maybe 30 Eu.

From curiosity I took a look at my Stihl warranty for my pole saw. Here's the translation below:

"4. Exceptions and limitations of the Warranty
(1) The warranty applies only to new machines purchased from STIHL dealers.
(2) The Guarantee is not transferred but strictly belongs to the actual buyer, the name of which appears on the Warranty Card."
&
"2. Warranty
ANDREAS STIHL SA is obliged to repair or replace, at its discretion, any new STIHL product that does not work due to construction
for the period of validity of the warranty, as described in paragraph 3. Any warranty service must be performed by an Authorized Representative of the
STIHL."

I don't see any limitation set by country or location.

Lol. I don't have one on hand, but I knew you would ask. I went to the Husky dealer, but I think that guy was tipping the bottle at lunch time. He wasn't quite right. Anyway I will ask him tomorrow. I had that Stihl warranty in my email so it was easy to find.

I'm not sure about the dealers that don't know about the 462, but one guy I talked to the other day had no clue what to do with his mtronic interface. He pulled out a suitcase of brand new unused gadgets and had that look on his face of bewilderment. Lol. I guess that means the mtronic is pretty good.
