That's pretty expensive! What area is this? Here in NH we get Trufuel for $5.36 per can.

Actually, I just checked lowes.com and you can get it at the same price in other parts of the country, it's not a NH thing.

Anyone use the the true fuel 40:1? I got a "gallon" of it a few months ago. I went to put some in a saw that won't be getting used much for a while and it had no color. I got paranoid and dumped it back in the can, and poured a bottle of oil in and mixed it up. Just wondering if anyone else used it before and noticed if it was clear or had any color. I've used the 50:1 before and it had a reddish tint i think.

The Trufuel that I have has the same color as the outside of the can. The 40:1 has a greenish tint and the 50:1 has a reddish tint.

It is a bit on the clear side.
They use different dye for different ratios

Yeah I probably should've poured some in a jar to get a good look at it before putting more oil in. Oh well guess I might have 20:1 true fuel now. Better than a roached saw.

Is it a premix or just plain canned fuel?

Old thread bump!

How do you like the power care mix @e.fisher26?

All I can find around here is non e 87. Figure I will try to canned stuff at 94ish. May buy a 5 gal of Vp and mix my own oil.

In my experience they all work better then reg gas, since I use it to store equipment, it doesn’t matter to me what oil they add to it. VP brand is the most expensive and powercare seems to be the most inexpensive and it works great for me
