That story would have worked good Bob, as I recall that Pioneer/Partner were marketed in parts of Europe sometime after the Poulan Pro thing was done here in the States.
In any case, this could be a sign of either too much time on the hand or too much yellow paint on hand, It's unclear at this point which. Lol
It is however a fetching looking saw and even a Poulan Pro version would have looked good in that color scheme. Speaking of Poulan's...
How about a Poulan counter vibe model 7100, have any green paint?
Not a bad idea Steve! You can actually still order the official Poulan green paint. Not sure what we'd be able to do for decals though. There anybody out there making Poulan decals? I can do another black and yellow something or other because the decals in the 1st post are a second set, not the ones actually on the saw. Any requests? Lol 272, 562? But I already did a couple of can't get em 562 based saws........

Some small mount shortblocks arrived in the US by mistake. They didn't even know it and shipped some of these instead of the large mount ones ordered for 562's. So, I called customer service to get it straightend out. They said they'd ship me the proper SB, and that they didn't want the wrong one back and that I should destroy it. Oh yeah, I'll destroy that right away. Figured I'd go the G route and harvested the heat parts from a wiped 562G. The icing was that for whatever reason, they actually had the 560XPG decal in stock! So that saw is correct other than I used an orange clutch cover.

It's really about the font. If you don't want to send out for your stickers for one project make sure the base paint/powder color is what you want first. A black laser printer prints on clear "duck" brand packing tape perfectly. If you print on a piece of paper what you want, Lay tape over it. Lay a second layer with a corner folded for removal over the first. Print a second time. Place a 3rd piece of clear tape over the second print. Peal off the upper two layers and you have a nice $.03 sealed sticker. Use a hair dryer if you are compulsive about air bubbles. If you want to size it, cut it off the sheet of paper before you peel it. You can omit the third layer of tape if your using clear coat on the final product, which is how I plan to make the stickers survive on the bar long enough for me to enjoy my krylon Kommando, or Komandgo, for the year. Mines oem johnny/husky, except the white plastic( only the finest holzfforma, not painted) starter/tank/top handle/and muffler. Its kinda fun to reconsider marketing. When I'm done with it I'm going to dye them gold for a black and gold saw, my high school colors. The bahlsdiep will probably be a "wide and heavy" bar. But I'm also thinking about making a STOHL ROMANTIC ED Light bar and or a STOHL DIEZKNUTZ HD Light. I don't own or have tried a color laser. I only came up with this idea about 3 months ago in a bout of sobriety. I assume the heat wIll melt the pigment into the tape the same way.

Got another NSM saw. (No such model). Had some Jonsered 2260 parts in stock that were obviously not not going to get used before I closed. So I thought, How about a large mount version? Had some 562 bones to work with. Unlike my Partner project, the only thing I needed to paint was the crankcase.

@Spike60 sorry to be busting on your "World's first" post, as I built one for @Cat 525 a couple few years ago or so.
Looking good otherwise, wondering how many different colors of paint you have at your disposal now and what could be coming next...

Yeah Steve, that's why I added the "around here" qualifier, in case somebody else put one together. Should have figured it could be you! Sort of running out of ideas though as to the next one. Lots of stuff laying around though.

Let us in on what carcasses you have lying around and maybe we can help with the ideas.
Here's a little vidja of the said converted Jonsered...
