Sorry for reviving this thread. Really, I am. But......

Can't help but wonder after all these calculations, considerations, opinions and +/- .001 tolerances being tossed about as required (desired?) for a respectable cylinder decking, what happens to all the aforementioned precision when ya hafta throw a case gasket into the mix and slop some threebond on there in place of a deleted base gasket? Then there are the rings and the bearings which add to (or compensate for?) a certain degree of slop anyway.

So...

Seems to me like after all is said and done (or not), the most important consideration would be what type of oil you're runnin'.

It's not easy being a quarter bubble off, trust me. :confused:
