I think I have a disease or at least an addiction.

Hi, my name is Dustin and I have started selling and trading stuff I have no interest in anymore to buy......saws!

I did some welding and fab work for a good friend that runs a tree service. He buys his saws at some sort of show in KY. It was about 10 hours of fab work and welding. I also helped build a picnic shelter/carport thing for him at some property he has that borders me.

My newest triplets include a Stihl 261, 362, and 461. All NIB with a 18", .325 bar/chain, a 20" 3/8" bar/chain, and 25" 3/8" bar/chain!

For roughly 18 hours of labor, a little welding gas and wire, a lot of sweat, no blood or tears........I will take that deal anytime. He also fed and hydrated me while we worked on the construction job.

The 461 is going to stay in the box for now. I got it out and checked it to make sure it was there, then buttoned it back up.

Will the 261 pull 3/8" regular chain? I have a nice 18", 3/8" pitch, .050 Sugi bar that would look nice on it. Will 3/8" LP or Picco work on the Sugi bar?

I foresee sending a couple saws off as soon as I get some cash!

Hell yeah you got a dam good friend! And heres my 2 cents a 3/8 lp is .365 vs 3/8 at .375 . So not sure if it would just wear funny then stop or just mangle the nose sprocket to hell.

He is a good man. He is a fellow LEO and runs a tree service/excavation company as well. The welding was a big ornamental iron railing with lots of small decorative pieces. It was 10, 8 foot sections for his cabin he is building in the mountains. I still have to help install it and a few finishing touches to finish on it. He is having it finished in some rustic rusty looking finish.

The 261 is "technically" my 8 year olds. He watched my son handle the little 136 at the place he bought next to us when we were helping clean it up and told me he needs a real saw not that Husky! He is Stihl through and through.

I came home yesterday and he was at the camper and waved me down. He set two boxes in the back of the truck and told me these are for you and Aiden. I had expressed my interest in any old, broken, scored parts saw he had laying around and figured that is what it was. I got to the garage and went to unload them and was surprised to find the three new saws. Then I realized what they were. The 261 had my sons name on it and he spotted it. I guess I'm not allowed to use that one!

Amazing. What can I get if I mow his lawn or wash his car? That is where my skills end.
You may be able to wash his car or mow the other places, but my son and I already mow the one next to us. He was paying $30/time and it takes me 20 minutes to mow and trim. I told him he didn't owe me anything after that!
