Had a neighbor down the road have a big maple come down across her driveway. It was like that for a day. I knew none of her kids would bother so I told her I would cut it up for the wood. Cut it up, drug all the branches to her burn pile and hauled all the wood away. On my last load she walks down and asks when I’m going to clean up the wood chips my saw left! As soon as I get time. That was 2 years ago, still haven’t found time.

One of the girls my wife works with and her husband bought a place, 25 acres and built a house, about a mile from us.
They've never lived in the country or had a place where they burned wood. My wife volunteered my services to help the guy cut and split firewood, as well as help with anything this guy doesn't understand about living in the sticks. I don't have time to take care of the stuff I need to do but because my wife had already volunteered my help, I was stuck.
I showed up yesterday to help the guy buck several cull logs he'd gotten from a local logger. He had them marked where he wanted them cut. I grabbed my saw and got to work. After I cut the first log and was starting on the second, he called me over and pointed out a cut that he deemed unsatisfactory. I hadn't cut where you could see paint on either side of the cut. I thought he was dicking with me. I went back to cutting the second log and didn't make one cut on the mark. He got really upset and told me, "if you can't do what I tell you to do, I don't need you.

Here's the cut that initially upset him. It looks good to me.View attachment 141595

If his wife and mine weren't friends, I'd have given him a friendly GFY and left. I tried to explain that I didn't think he was serious and he kind of understood but told me that he wants things done his way.
My wife understands the situation but asked me to be tolerant. Hopefully the girls will talk tomorrow and his wife can explain to him, that he's an a$$hole but I'm not holding my breath.
I don't see this ending well.

Have any of you ever had to deal with a jackwagon like this?

Hmmm!!! Damn, I missed this post. I am ( speechless ) After reading 5 pages of this post, the best thing for me to do is not open my mouth!! ( Son of a *b-word I almost lost it! )

Again ( speechless!! )

My wife called me earlier this evening. Tammy had texted and asked if Greg could come over and go through my tools and borrow what he needed to pull the anode. The last one I did required an impact to break loose.
Apparently Greg doesn't own any tools.
I offered to call and explain that I don't loan out tools or guns but my wife preferred to call Tammy.
About a half hour after my wife talked to Tammy, Greg called our house amd gave my wife a ration of $hit about me not helping them and not letting him borrow tools.
I'm heading home tomorrow morning, a day early. It's time for this knucklehead to get educated and it's going to happen face to face.
Good luck Brother....I'd say it's about time to tune this city slicker up.

I don't care if his wife was my wife's best friend, I would have packed up my *s-word and left. You have no obligation to do anything for someone if they are not grateful for it. I'm happy to lend any of my time to anyone in need but a jackass like that would only get helped once.

Tell him the anode is a LH-thread, donate a 1-1/16" socket & a 6ft cheater bar and let him turn it to cheese. Nah you can't do that...but Greg can't get on the phone to Mrs srb08 (wifey) & speak to her like that, he needs to know what's acceptable when speaking to her. Sounds like a using, manipulating ass-wipe who just don't 'get it'. Helping anyone finding their feet is a humble this to do but this guy...

We may need to start a go fund me, or raffle, to raise monies for his bail bonds man...

I'm in, have cash and will dig up a prize too.
